Kevin Lehman – Founder/Owner
Kevin’s love for dogs has been the heartbeat of Perfect Pooch since he helped found the company in 2003. A Lehigh University Engineering graduate, Kevin traded in the corporate world to apply his background in engineering and IT to a new mission: building a smarter, safer, and more innovative way to care for pets. That technical foundation—paired with a lifelong passion for pups—is what has allowed Perfect Pooch to grow from a vision into a premier destination for local families. For Kevin, it’s about more than just a business; it’s about creating an environment where every dog gets the “Best Day Ever.” At home, Kevin’s life is just as active, shared with his wife, two boys, and a spirited trio of dogs: Tator (a Miniature Australian Shepherd), Aubrey (a Nova Scotia Duck Toller), and Smudge (a Mini Bernedoodle).
Kelli Dodds – General Manager
Kelli joined Perfect Pooch in October 2018, bringing nearly 30 years of management experience and a deep background in pet specialty retail. As the leader of our daily operations, she is dedicated to ensuring every dog at our King of Prussia facility has the “Best Day Ever.” To ensure Perfect Pooch remains at the forefront of pet care, Kelli actively networks within the industry to bring back the latest innovations and ingenuity to our team. She has also been invited to speak at industry conferences, sharing her knowledge to help other facilities across the country improve their standards. A certified Pet CPR and First Aid instructor with extensive knowledge in canine nutrition, Kelli’s primary focus is always the safety and well-being of our campers. Outside of work, Kelli enjoys family camping trips and caring for her own “home camp” of pets: dogs Lily and Wicket, ferrets Thunder and Lightning, and her leopard gecko, Leonardo.
Melissa Spencer – Assistant General Manager
Since joining Perfect Pooch in 2019, Melissa has become a familiar and trusted face across every corner of our facility. Transitioning from a background as a veterinary assistant, she brought a keen eye for pet health and safety that quickly made her an indispensable part of our team. Her recent promotion to Assistant General Manager is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and deep understanding of what makes our “camp” run smoothly. Melissa wears many hats, expertly balancing her focus between world-class customer service, marketing, and the essential task of training our employees to meet our high standards of care. Whether she’s at the front desk or behind the scenes, her goal is to ensure every client and camper has a seamless, positive experience. When she’s off the clock, Melissa stays true to our “camp” spirit, enjoying hiking, camping, and crafting with her husband and their rescue dog, Olive—a unique and lovable Shar Pei/Pit mix.
Bonnie Korytowski – HR/Benefits Manager
Bonnie’s history with Perfect Pooch is the ultimate “full circle” story. She first joined our family nearly 15 years ago as a client, bringing her beloved dog, Charlie, to camp. Her deep belief in our mission led her to join the team as a yard assistant, and she has been an indispensable cornerstone of our growth ever since. A Temple University graduate with a degree in Sociology, Bonnie has spent over a decade mastering every facet of our facility. In her role as HR/Benefits Manager, she uses that extensive hands-on experience to support our staff and expertly navigate our administrative needs. Her unique perspective—having been a client, a yard attendant, and now a key leader—makes her an incredible advocate for both our team and our families. When she isn’t keeping the “behind-the-scenes” running smoothly, Bonnie stays busy tending to her beehives, exploring new places on weekend trips, and spending time with her wife, two children, and their pit/hound mix, Bessie.
Samantha Peden – Grooming Salon Manager
Samantha has been a vital part of the Perfect Pooch team for 9 years, turning her lifelong dedication to animals into a master craft. She began her journey in our yards and kennels, but her eye for detail led her to pursue a professional grooming apprenticeship. Today, as our Salon Manager and a certified groomer, Samantha’s expertise ensures that every dog leaves our “camp” looking and feeling like a champion. Samantha’s leadership in the salon is defined by patience and precision, ensuring a low-stress, high-quality experience for every pup in her care. Whether it’s a simple bath or a full breed-standard cut, she treats every client like one of her own. Life at home is just as colorful for Samantha, where she lives with her husband and child. Her personal “menagerie” includes a clowder of long-haired tuxedo cats (Sawyer, Mildred, Moe, and Winslow) and three ball pythons (Ed, Freddie, and Mike Python). When she’s not at the salon, you’ll likely find her out camping or indulging her love for all things spooky.
Michelle Mackinnon – Head Dog Trainer
Michelle joined Perfect Pooch in 2019, bringing over a decade of elite training experience to our team. While she is a specialist in basic obedience and scent work, her expertise truly shines through her deep knowledge of the German Shepherd breed. Michelle doesn’t just train dogs; she understands the mechanics of how they think and learn, helping owners build a stronger bond with their pups. Her dedication to dogs extends far beyond our facility. Michelle is an active force in the rescue community and volunteers her time with a professional search and rescue organization, applying her skills to high-stakes, real-world situations. This level of commitment ensures that the training techniques she brings to our campers are both proven and effective. At home, Michelle and her husband share their lives with two impressive Shiloh Shepherds, Navarre and Valr. When she isn’t helping our clients master new skills, she’s likely out in the field, further honing her craft in the world of working dogs.
